This fall Razz is offering another Hatha Raja Yoga teacher training that you will not want to miss! If you’ve been looking for a transformational yoga teacher training then this is the perfect one for you. Inspired by the teachings of Sri Dharma Mittra, this course is led by Yogini Kali Om (Gabrielle Sulc) and lead Razz Yoga instructor Beth MacMullen. During this wonderful training, you will find yourself feeling blissed out and more in tune with your inner wisdom than ever before. The course is designed for yoga students who have an interest in expanding their knowledge in the practice and theory of yoga. “Raja Yoga” is said to be the achievement of union with the supreme self- the ultimate goal through the path of yoga. This yoga alliance registered course exceeds the curriculum standards and is intended to be transformative experience. Believe me, it has everything you want in a teacher training.
Throughout the Hatha Raja Yoga teacher training you will have a better understanding of the following:
• The 8 limbs of Yoga as outlined in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras
• History + Philosophy of Yoga through reading and discussion on classical yoga texts
• Techniques for the practice and teaching of asana, pranayama, and meditation
• Anatomy and Physiology of the human body and applied anatomy in yoga postures
• Posture alignment, assists and adjustments
• Teaching methods and sequencing
• Use of props and variations for physical limitations
• Business and Ethics of teaching yoga
Through my personal experience, the number one lesson the Hatha Raja Yoga teacher training taught me was the importance of meditation. Before the teacher training, my yoga practice was solely a time where I could quiet my mind, stretch out my muscles, and feel like I achieved some form of physical activity. No meditation was ever involved. However, through the lineage I was taught I now realize that meditation is the most important component of yoga. It has also become an important part of my daily life. A year ago, if someone would have told me that I would be meditating on a daily basis I would have laughed in their face. A year ago, my mind was so full of clutter and fear that I was starting to believe I would never be able to escape it. I felt like I was stuck in victim mode. I was constantly living in a state of fear. What I didn’t realize was that meditation quiets those thoughts and feelings of doubt and washes them away with thoughts and feelings of love and certainty. It’s a gift we so frequently overlook and yet it’s here for us whenever we need it. This is just one of the many gifts and life lessons you will receive during teacher training. It can truly change your outlook on life! If you need more insight on the teacher training keep reading. Below I had highlighted 3 past students from the 2018 YTT.
“The Hatha Raja teacher training prepared me to teach yoga and has guided me to implement a daily personal yoga practice into my life. My consistent personal practice which includes poses, breathing exercises, and meditation has had many cumulative benefits for my body and mind. Each training weekend felt like a retreat that I always looked forward to. The teacher training was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. It can change your life!”
-Donna Miller Simmons, Hatha Raja YTT class of 2018
“In my experience as a yoga teacher for the last year since I finished Hatha Raja Yoga 200hr YTT at Razz Yoga with Gabrielle Sulc, I’ve come to truly cherish the immersion I experienced learning in her presence. Gabrielle is truly a yogi and she offers this training from a space of wisdom and experience To say it was all-encompassing would be an understatement: I perhaps most valued this aspect, that we learned all 8 limbs of traditional yoga, the philosophy and practical exercises beyond the yoga asana. Much of yoga in the West now has become a fad and based solely on the workout of the physical body- to contrast this, Gabrielle shares the foundations and impacts of all 8 limbs of yoga and guides us through our own experience of them. She’s a wealth of resource and I continue to rely on this! For all the friends of mine who ask where to start if interested in a certifying YTT, Gabrielle is who I point them to. So, I couldn’t recommend her more highly!”
-Jess Crutchfield, Hatha Raja YTT class of 2018
“I committed to the teacher training very late because I didn’t think I could afford it- which is funny because you actually save hundreds by signing up early. Razz worked with me to pay overtime to make it more manageable; plus, you get a free membership during the training. But what really ended up making it financially accessible was the effect the training had on my habits and the changes I made in my life. The training helped me find happiness within myself through my practice and not through the unnecessary shopping at target.”
-Simone Champaigne, Hatha Raja YTT class of 2018
