Open to practitioners of all levels, this class offers a rolling segment using Roll Model® Therapy Balls followed by a classic Hatha Raja yoga practice. Each week a specific muscle group is targeted to “fluff up fascia” with the Roll Model® Therapy Balls. Therapy balls are specifically used for self-massage to release tension and work on fascia. Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and organs, so it’s important to take time to work on each region of the body. The Roll Model® Therapy Balls are the perfect tool to use to improve movement, coordination and reduce pain. This 60-minute class consists of two segments. The first is a 15-20-minute rolling segment dedicated to “working out the kinks” and rolling out regions of the body that may feel tight or agitated. After the rolling segment is a Hatha Yoga flow which incorporates restorative poses and breathing exercises. Both segments complement one another with the use of myofascial release, (asana) physical yoga postures and (pranayama) breathing techniques. All of these physical techniques are key to improving posture, coordination, and movement.
Due to our everyday lifestyles, we have created bad physical habits like constantly starring at screens, hunching over and poor posture.
