The most festive time of year is quickly approaching which means shopping, prepping, cooking, planning and much more. Although everyone loves the Holiday season, it can sure be overwhelming and stressful at times. Fortunately, there are lots of things you can do to manage this stress and I am excited to share these simple tips with you.

It may be obvious that yoga is a great way to improve our physical health but what’s often overlooked is how much our mental health can benefit from this practice as well. Although there are various styles of yoga, they all share one equally important component, breathwork. Connecting breath to movement is an amazing tool to calm down and relax the mind. According to the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, “Research shows that yogic breathing positively impacts mood. A few studies show that yogic breathing techniques reduce anxiety and depression” (2018). Not only is this an incredible tool for overall mood but especially throughout high-stress periods in your life. Preparing for the holidays, for example, sure can get hectic. This holiday season, be sure to take care of yourself, giving your body and mind the relaxation it needs.
